Combustible components, other than those permitted by Article 3.1.5.5. and Sentence 3.1.5.7.(2), are permitted to be used in an exterior wall assembly of a building required to be of noncombustible construction, provided
(a)
the building is
(i)
not more than 3 storeys in building height, or
(ii)
sprinklered throughout, and
(b)
the wall assembly
(i)
except as provided in Sentence (2), satisfies the criteria of Clause 3.1.5.5.(1)(b), or
(ii)
is protected by masonry or concrete cladding not less than 25 mm thick. (See Note A-3.1.5.5.(1)(b))

Exterior wall assemblies constructed in accordance with Section 6 of MMAH Supplementary Standard SB-2, “Fire Performance Ratings” are deemed to comply with Subclause (1)(b)(i).
