Where an open bottom treatment unit is used in conjunction with a Type A dispersal bed, the placement of the unit is important to achieve even distribution and consideration may be given to the following: 1) the treatment unit is placed in the centre of the stone layer where the topography is flat, or 2) uphill of the centre of the stone layer on sloping topography.
