ASME B16.9, “Factory-Made Wrought Buttwelding Fittings,” and
(b)
ASTM A403 / A403M, “Standard Specification for Wrought Austenitic Stainless Steel Piping Fittings”.

Stainless steel butt weld pipe fittings shall be made of a material that matches the grade of the pipe material used.
